Diversity / Multicultural Council

The Diversity/Multicultural Council oversees diversity programs and initiative at Aims. It has adopted the following mission statement:

The Diversity/Multicultural Council is committed to the principle of equal opportunity in education and employment through opportunity and experience. The Council recognizes that we live in a multicultural society, and to achieve the cultural richness of our society, we must constantly strive to achieve education through the diversity of human experience. Diversity is achieved through recognition and representation of the immutable differences that are manifest in each of us. The Council celebrates those differences and strives to support and enhance diversity in the larger community, in student population, and in employment.

To achieve these goals, the Council is active in many areas to assure diversity in Aims programs.
