- Apply
Early for Financial Aid & Scholarships
-
FAFSA, loans, grants, scholarships, and student employment are types of financial aid. These are ways to help you pay for college. You will not automatically qualify for financial aid. You must apply. Processing your aid application often take up to 10 weeks or longer. You may not learn if you get aid until several weeks or months after you apply.
Apply for aid as soon as possible. First priority goes to students who apply by mid-March before the start of the financial aid year. Each school year at Aims begins with the Fall semester. The following Spring and Summer semesters are part of that financial aid year.
- Fall classes begin in late August. Apply for aid as early as 7 months before classes start.
- Spring classes begin in early January. Apply for aid as early as 12 months before classes start.
- Summer classes begin in late May. Apply for aid as early as 16 months before your classes start.
