Aims Foundation Scholarship Application

2011-2012

Eligibility: 

To be eligible for Aims Community College Foundation Scholarships, an applicant must:

  1. Be a current Aims student or be eligible for admission to Aims
  2. Be a US citizen or an eligible non-resident
  3. Have a cumulative GPA of at least 2.0.

Application Instructions:

  1. Complete the on-line application  - complete all sections fully
  2. Submit documentation of academic record:
    1. An unofficial transcript from Aims or last school attended
    2. If home-schooled, submit SAT or ACT scores in place of transcript
    3. If a transcript is unavailable, GED scores, Accuplacer or other assessment test scores may be submitted
  3. At least one letter of recommendation is advised for all scholarships and required for some. (Other Requirements within the individual descriptions identify those scholarships that require letters of recommendation.)

Priority Deadline, including all supporting documentation:
Deadline: Monday, February 28, 2011

Note:  Completion of the Aims Foundation Scholarship application does not guarantee an award.  The Aims Foundation scholarships are funded by gifts from private donors and actual scholarships, amounts and number of awards can vary from year-to-year.  The Foundation does not guarantee all scholarships described will be awarded.   

All eligible applications submitted by the priority deadline will be evaluated on several criteria. Readers of the applications consider the donor’s requirements as well as the applicants 1) academic record, 2) academic intent and future plans, 3) situation need, and 4) financial need.  The personal statement section of the application provides the opportunity for an applicant to share information that strengthens the overall application.
