Community leadersí art now available for auction

Submitted on: 04-13-2007

In early March a group of about 20 community leaders gave up a Saturday morning to benefit Aims Community College. Many of them had no prior experience, but volunteered to try their hand at pottery, jewelry making or photography to benefit the Aims Foundationís Building for Tomorrow Today campaign. Now, the public can view the artistic talents of our leaders in an online auction, with the proceeds benefiting the Foundationís campaign. Several of Aimsí art professors and artists from the community have also donated their own works to the auction. Visit to view the artwork and submit a bid. Many of the works will also be on display at the Aims College Center until the auction culminates with an event at the Aims Downtown Campus on May 4 from 5 to 8 p.m. Items will be on display for final bid at this event held in conjunction with the Downtown Development Authorityís First Friday.
