Fort Lupton Automotive and Construction programs to host a community Car-B-QSubmitted on: 05-23-2007
The community is invited to come to Aims Community College for a Car-B-Q on Wednesday, June 6, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Construction and Automotive Technology building, 575 McKinley Ave. in Fort Lupton. "This is a great opportunity for everyone who’s interested in construction and automotive technology to come out and see the amazing facility Aims has here in town," said Associate Dean Karen Sell. “Anyone who hasn’t seen it yet is definitely in for a treat.” Aims faculty members will be on hand to discuss career opportunities with potential and current students, along with advising staff who can assist with registration and financial aid. Complimentary hot dogs and hamburgers will be served, so bring the whole family. In addition to offering classes to the public, Aims collaborates with local high schools to provide dual-credit classes for students who already know they’d like to pursue a career in automotive or construction technology. Several certificate programs are available, leading to an associate degree in Automotive or Construction technology. This project was funded in part by a grant awarded under the President’s Community-based Job Training Grant, as implemented by the U.S. Department of Labor’s Employment and Training Administration. For more information, contact Aims Associate Dean Karen Sell at (303) 857-4022 or email@example.com. Summer semester starts May 29. Call Aims today at (970) 330-8008 or visit www.aims.edu for more information on how to register for classes.
