Aims Community College earns gold in national marketing awards

Aims Community College was honored with the top award for single advertisement in the country at the National Council for Marketing and Public Relations Paragon awards at the annual conference in Kansas City, Mo. The ad, entitled "School Clothes," won the gold award in the annual competition, which saw more than 1,700 entries this year from all over the United States and Canada. The ad promoted how comfortable it can be to take classes through the Aims Online degree program. "The creative process in building this ad stemmed from the idea of taking it from the student's perspective, which is what we try to do with all of our programs at Aims," said the college's Director of Marketing and Public Information Jared Fiel. "To receive a national honor like this in such a hotly contested category is truly impressive." Contest judges said of the ad: "Simply marvelous. Works in color or black and white. Message is so brilliantly simplistic. Love it." Aims Media Specialist Allyson Byerly, who designed the ad, accepted the award. "Winning a national gold award was phenomenal," she said. "It’s a wonderful recognition for the high-quality work done by our entire creative team here at Aims."
