Aims Community College continues to expand its offerings at the Continuing Education Center in Fort Collins, and the upcoming Spring Semester is no exception. The Continuing Education Center offers a diverse selection of professional development certificates ranging from Web Development to Human Resources Management. Business skills can be improved with classes in desktop publishing, public speaking, database design and computer programming. Personal enrichment courses range from CPR to photography, personal finance to meditation, cooking to clutter control. Also, there are a number of introductory language courses available including Chinese, French, German, Japanese and Spanish. New this spring semester at the Fort Collins campus are a number of general study courses, which are guaranteed to transfer to institutions of higher learning. “If a student knows that he learns better in a classroom rather than in a self-directed course like the math modules offered at CSU, that student can take College Algebra at Aims in Fort Collins while they’re attending other classes at CSU,” said Roseann Guyette, associate dean for Aims Continuing Education Division, “and the credits are guaranteed to transfer.” In addition to Algebra, the Fort Collins center will offer Introduction to PC Applications, General Psychology and English Composition – all applicable to an associate’s degree and transferable to four-year institutions. “The schedule is set up so that a student can take a full load of introductory courses in just two days a week,” Guyette said. Aims Continuing Education Center is conveniently located at 2925 S. College Ave. (just west of Pepper’s Furniture). Students are urged to enroll as soon as possible to ensure a spot in their selected courses. Call Aims today at 1-800-301-5388 or visit for more information on how to register. Classes start Jan. 10.
