Tour the world in an afternoon at the Aims International Day celebrationSubmitted on: 03-15-2010
Aims Community College is hosting International Day on Monday, March 29, in Beaty Hall Theater from noon to 1:30 p.m. This event will celebrate of the rich heritages of many of the students in the Aims International program. It is open to the public, and a suggested $3 donation will go toward the earthquake relief effort in Haiti. "The Aims International Day event promises a tour around the world in just an afternoon," said International Student Director Alan Hendrickson. "I don't know where else in Greeley you can find all of this for just a $3 donation." Live entertainment will include African and Korean drumming, piano music from the Dominican Republic, classical guitar from Georgia, and traditional Peruvian music played on authentic instruments. International crafts will be on display along with cuisine from Saudi Arabia, Vietnam, China, Mexico, Somalia, Peru and Korea. This event is sponsored by the Associated Students of Aims Community College and the Aims International Students program.
