Participants sought for 5 Cís English Comp conference held at Aims

The English Department of Aims Community College will be Colorado Community College Conference on Composition (5 C's) on Friday, April 8, 2005, in the Aims Corporate Education Center. The theme of the program will be "From Vintage to Vanguard: Best Practices in Teaching English." Sara McKinnon, a 34-year veteran of composition from Pueblo Community College and winner of numerous teaching awards, will present the keynote speech. The 5 C's Conference is one of the largest English Composition events in the state. Full-time as well as part-time faculty, Writing Center staff, graduate students, and teaching assistants are invited to attend and participate in the conference. Full and part-time faculty, writing center personnel and tutors, graduate students, and teaching assistants are invited to submit proposals for conference presentations by January 31, 2005.
