Aims Continuing Education offers certificate in Water Rights

Through its Continuing Education division, Aims Community College is offering a Water Rights Certificate program. This six class series starts Feb. 4 and runs from 8:30 to noon on Fridays through March 11. P. Andrew Jones, of Lind, Lawrence and Ottenhoff LLP in Greeley will lead the classes, and guest speakers will be featured. The course is designed for real estate professionals, attorneys, bankers, water rights owners, appraisers, title companies and anyone who has an interest in the topic. The certificate program includes the following courses: Colorado History and Hydrology Water Law 101 Running the River Water Rights in the Marketplace Major Water Projects in Colorado Emerging Trends and Issues Students can take all six courses to earn their Water Rights Certificate or take a combination of courses that meets their needs.
