Photography exhibition features a unique take on the human figure

Submitted on: 07-29-2011

The public is invited to attend the opening of "energia figura," a photographic exhibition of the latest work from Loveland-based artist G Mark Lewis (gmark), at the Beaty Hall Gallery on the Aims Community College Greeley campus, 5401 West 20th St. "'energia figura' involves creating images that represent the human form with light and movement that the eye can't see without the aid of the camera," gmark said. "There's a certain amount of euphoria in finding the art in the human form and making it possible for others to see it, in a completely new way." Originally from Nunn, Colo., gmark is a photography instructor at Aims Community College and the proprietor of gmark Art and silentgstudio in Loveland. The exhibition will be on display through September.
