Aims Community College rolls out the red carpet for prospective studentsSubmitted on: 03-08-2012
A women’s student group at Aims Community College invites prospective students to attend a “Rolling out the Red Carpet” event at the Loveland campus on March 12 from 6 to 8 p.m.
Women In Transition Together (W.I.T.T.) focuses on developing strategies for academic and personal success, achieving leadership opportunities, and strengthening relationships between women of diverse backgrounds.
“This evening of information and inspiration is meant to serve as a starting point for women who are considering higher education as an avenue of change and improvement in their lives,” said Mistie Trefry, advisor for the club. “We’ve found that it’s really motivational to hear from those who have been in our own shoes, made the decision to move forward and achieved their goals.”
A panel of women will share their personal journeys to and through higher education and how their decisions and persistence have led to successes in their lives.
Representatives from Financial Aid, Assessment and Advising will explain the first steps to enrolling at Aims and answer any questions.
Appetizers will be served. Seating is limited. For more information and to reserve a spot, call (970) 667-4611, Ext. 3336, or e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org.
