Oil and Gas Technology Day Camp set for Nov. 9

Aims Community College will host an Oil and Gas Technology day camp Friday, Nov. 9, on the Fort Lupton campus. The event is free and open to anyone interested in learning more about careers in the oil and gas industries.

The day camp will begin at 9:30 a.m. and will offer three 20-minute workshops. The first session will focus on the Noble Energy Training Trailer that features a cut away view of a well head, separator, and burner that is typical of equipment found on a well site. The next workshop will look at surveying and using GPS equipment. The final session will review the virtual learning environment. Lunch will be provided from 11:30 a.m. to noon.

Aims Community College is offering new certificates and a degree in Oil and Gas Technology.
