Aims Community College announced today that it has received $ 5,000 from United Power. The gift will be directed to name a student study space within the new Fort Lupton facility on the Aims campus, scheduled to open for classes fall 2014.
“We are excited about our partnership with United Power. Their history with rural cooperatives is a great fit for our Agriculture programs that will soon be offered on the Aims Fort Lupton campus,” said Dr. Marsi Liddell, President of Aims Community College.
United Power, a Touchstone Energy® cooperative, provides electricity to more than 70,000 homes and businesses on Colorado’s northern front range. Headquartered in Brighton, the not-for-profit cooperative is overseen by an elected board of directors who work in tandem with staff to provide power throughout our growing territory. In business for nearly 75 years, United Power is guided by the cooperative principles including investment in community, operational autonomy and open membership.
