Aims Aviation Professor to share his recent flight experience at a presentation on February 27Submitted on: 02-20-2014
Aims Community College and the FAA FAAST Team will be giving a presentation to pilots and non-pilots on February 27 at 7 p.m. at the Aims Flight Training Center, located at the Greeley Airport, 600 Airport Road.
Aims Aviation Professor Martin Boniek will be sharing his recent ferry flight experience of a Quest Kodiak single engine turbine aircraft from Alaska to Europe. The flight basically followed the Arctic Circle for 6000 miles eastward, crossing Canada, Greenland, Iceland and the United Kingdom. The flight included extended overwater oceanic crossings, “Euro Control” ATC operations, significant IFR and icing, customs and other adventures en-route. The presentation will include photos and movies from the flight.
