Aims Community College is pleased to announce that several of our employees have committed themselves to serving the community by serving on State and Local boards that seek to improve Educational access and quality in Colorado.
Gene Meier, Director of Academic Pathways, has been appointed by the Department of Higher Education to the Concurrent Enrollment Advisory Board. Mr. Meier has also been selected to speak about 7 keys to Effective Leadership in Charter Education and Systemic Reform at the National Johnson O’Malley annual national gathering in Denver in March.
Jenna Oliver, Chief of College and Community Relations, has been accepted to the 2014 class of Leadership Northern Colorado, has been asked to participate in the CDHE College Communications Task Force and was recently voted on to the PEBC (Public Education and Business Coalition) Board of Directors. The PEBC is an education nonprofit that works with teachers, schools and districts throughout Colorado and nationwide and facilitates the Colorado Boettcher Teacher Residency program.
