Submitted on: 06-06-2005

The Human Resources department at Aims Community College recently received an award that will bring $3,000 to the school in scholarship money. The College and University Professional Association for Human Resources selected Aims to receive the SunGard SCT Technology Award for innovative use of its SCT Banner data management system. Last year the department implemented an applicant tracking system, which was selected by CUPA-HR to receive the award based on its demonstrated technological innovations that advance the human resource profession. As a result of winning the award, the college’s scholarship fund will receive $3,000 on behalf of the Human Resources department. The Human Resources department will also share information on the Applicant Tracking System in a CUPA-HR publication and in a presentation at this year’s CUPA-HR national conference in Orlando, Fla., in September. “We’re just thrilled to receive the recognition and the funding,” said Human Resources Director Susan Weber. “It’s not often that human resources is able to directly contribute to creating student scholarships like this.”
