Submitted on: 05-09-2006

For 25 years now, parents have relied on the College for Kids program at Aims Community College to keep their kids learning and engaged throughout the dog days of summer. This year the fun begins June 6, with offerings throughout the month. Classes run anywhere from one day to two weeks and are designed for first through eighth graders. Just about every interest imaginable is offered, including music (guitar, bucket band and lummi sticks), art (pottery, painting and mask creation), CPR and babysitting, math, writing and poetry, and a whole host of physical education offerings from martial arts and soccer to dodge ball and survival tag. This is just a small sampling of the courses offered at College For Kids at Aims Community College. A complete listing will be available at Aims Corporate Education Center (5590 W. 11th Street, Greeley) beginning May 15. Or logon to, where registration begins on May 15 at 8 a.m.
