The Public Safety and Security Office strive to ensure everyone at Aims Community College can learn and work in a safe and secure environment. We provide Law Enforcement and Security patrols at all of our locations on a continuous basis.
Additionally, we provide safety and security training, organize drills, provide safety escorts, operate a robust video surveillance system, oversee numerous fire and burglar alarm systems, respond to crisis incidents, develop emergency management planning and more.

Any student, visitor, faculty or staff member can request an escort to their vehicle anytime by calling the officers directly at (970) 539-2171.
- How to Contact Security
Security at the Greeley and Windsor campuses can be reached 24 hours/day at (970) 539-2171. Additionally, School Resource Officers can be reached at (970) 590-0415 or can be e-mailed at email@example.com.
For emergencies, dial 911 from any Greeley campus phone.
Security at the Loveland campus can be reached by calling (970) 518-5137 in the evenings and on Saturday. Loveland is also patrolled by the Weld County Sheriff’s Office School Resource Officers and can be reached at one of the numbers above.
*For emergencies, dial 9-911 from Loveland to contact the Loveland Police Department. Be prepared to tell them your location and the nature of the incident.
Security at the Ft Lupton campus can be reached by calling 303-591-3164 at any time the campus is open. Ft Lupton is also patrolled by the Weld County Sheriff’s Office School Resource Officers and can be reached at one of the numbers above.
* For emergencies, dial 9-911 from Ft Lupton to contact the Weld County Dispatch Center. Be prepared to tell them your location and the nature of the incident.
- How to Report a Crime
If this is an emergency, remain calm and dial 911. Be prepared to inform the operator of your location and the nature of the emergency.
For nonemergency situations on any of the Aim’s campuses, you can report crimes by calling one of our School Resource Officers, who are also deputies with the Weld County Sheriff’s Office. They can be reached by calling (970) 539-2171 or (970) 590-0415. Additionally, you can call the college Safety and Security Coordinator at (970) 339-6474. These numbers are the same for all Aims locations.
In addition to reporting criminal activity as listed above, an incident may be reported using our automated incident complaint system. These complaints can be made anonymously.
The State of Colorado also has laws pertaining to the Duty to Report a Crime and can be found by accessing the Colorado Revised Statutes 18-8-115
- Key Service
The procedure for after hour and weekend key service is the same. Faculty or staff notifies Facilities and Operations at x6474 during normal working hours so that security officers are notified of the up coming need for after hour access. Officers can be reached at (970) 539-2171 to unlock doors and deactivate intrusion alarms.
- Lighting Concerns
Lighting is a constant concern to the college and it’s visitors. If you find an area where the lighting is off or inadequate, please send an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org. You can also call Facilities and Operations at x6474 from an on campus phone. We have a team of dedicated individuals who constantly review lighting concerns throughout the campus and lighting projects are always being evaluated. Any assistance or recommendations is always welcomed.
