Our general email address for all student questions in reference to your student tuition account is aimsaccountsrec@aims.edu. During peak volume times, it is suggested to contact us in person in order for you to complete your business.

How do I find what it would cost to take classes?Our current tuition and fees rates can be found on the website at http://www.aims.edu/student/cashier/tuition.htm. Your tuition rate is based on your residency status which is determined where you are currently living and length of time at the residence.
If you have questions on which rate you qualify for, you will need to contact Admissions and Records for further assistance.

What does In-District tuition mean?In-District tuition rate implies to those who reside in Weld County, except some outline areas, and have lived in the area for a certain length of time. For further information, please contact Admissions and Records for further assistance.

What does Out of District tuition rate mean?Out of District tuition rate implies to those who reside in the State of Colorado, excluding those who qualify for In-District tuition rate, and have lived in the area for a certain length of time. What type of classes does the Differential tuition rate apply to?Differential Tuition rate is charged for classes that are Technology Intensive courses such as Radiological Technology, Fire Science, Communication Media, Surgical Technology, Aviation, and Practical Nursing & Associate’s Degree in Nursing Program. I am being charged an incorrect tuition rate, how can that be corrected?If you believe you are being charged the incorrect tuition rate, please contact Admissions and Records to inquire about your residency status. Registration/Petitions for residency classification changes of any kind, along with supporting documentation need to be submitted in time to be processed prior to registering.

Is there a payment plan?Yes, there is a payment plan each semester. Please visit the Tuition Payment Policy webpage for all policies and payment deadlines.
E-Cashier Payment plan information can be found by clicking on the E-Cashier Payment Plan link found on the left side of the page on the Cashier office webpage.

I dropped a class, how do I get a refund for that class?You need to complete the procedure for correctly dropping a course either online or in person within the add/drop period or 15% of the class meetings. Drop requests cannot be accepted over the phone.
To receive a refund, you need to ensure you drop the course within the drop deadline which can be found online when you View your current schedule and bill link located on the student tab.
If you drop the class after the drop deadline, this is now considered a withdrawal and the student is held liable for the full cost of the course (no refund).

When are Financial Aid checks available for pickup?Financial Aid refunds are not available until the first day of the semester at the earliest. Your refund check is produced after Financial Aid applies your aid funding to your student account, it pays any balance owed at that time of application and if there are any extra funds left over, and then a refund check will be produced so that you may pick it up. All checks are kept in the Greeley Cashier office from the 1st day of classes thru the add/drop deadline. Any checks not picked up by the add/drop deadline will be mailed to the address on record for the student within 10 business days after the add/drop.
Generally it takes anywhere from 1 to 5 business days from time of the funding applied to your account in order for a check to be available to you. An email is sent to the student’s Aims email account when a check is in process notifying the student when the check will be ready for pickup. All available refund checks can be picked up at the Greeley Main Cashiers Office.

Where can I pick up a refund check?All available refund checks can be picked up at the Greeley Main Cashiers Office. Generally all available refund checks produced and not picked up between the first day of classes and the add/drop deadline for the semester are not mailed until the following Friday after the Add/Drop Deadline at 2pm. After the Add/Drop deadline, all available refund checks produced that week will be mailed that Friday at 2pm.
A picture id is required to pick up all checks. Only the student can pick up their check(s). No others are able to pick up another persons check due to FERPA and Financial Aid regulations.

What types of payments does Aims accept?At every Cashiers Office locations we accept cash, checks, Visa, Master card, Discover, and American Express with proper identification. Credit Cards are accepted online. The “Payment Options” link online can be found on the “Student” tab within the Aims website. On the “Payment Options” screen you can choose to either sign up for an e-Cashier payment plan(ACH or Credit card) or pay in full thru the Aims CC Business Center(credit card only).
Please note: Partial payments made thru the Aims CC Business Center does not place you on a payment plan.
Please ensure you bring a picture id and your Aims ID# with you when making a payment in person. E-Cashier payments are deducted automatically from your credit card/checking acct/savings acct by NBS (payments for e-cashier will not be accepted at the college in person)

Can payments be mailed in and to where?Full Payments can be mailed to our office with the following address:

Please allow enough time when mailing the payments in order to meet our payment deadlines. Please ensure the personal check has the current address and phone number on upper left corner of the check. In the memo area of the check, please place the students Aims ID# in order for Aims to process the payment correctly and in a timely manner.
We request that if you would like to pay by credit card, please call us directly, go online or pay in person. Please DO NOT send credit card information through the mail, this is for your protection.
Please note: If you are on an E-Cashier payment plan, NBS will automatically draft the monthly payments on the 5th of each month from your banking institution.

Can payments be accepted over the phone?Payments by credit card can be accepted by phone at any campus. During peak times, it is suggested to make payments in person or online. Due to the large volume of calls and students needing assistance during peak times, please do not leave a message with your payment information

Can I pay on the web?Credit Cards are accepted online thru the e-Cashier Payment plan or Aims CC Business Center. The “Payment Options” link can be found on the “Student” tab within the website. Please click on the link to continue with making a payment online. We currently accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express. E-Cashier accepts ACH (e-check) or Credit cards.

Can my parents pay for my classes?Parents can pay for your classes. Parents can mail in a check with your Aims student ID number indicated in the memo area of the check and/or with the bottom portion of your bill. Parents are welcome to come in person to or call any Cashiers Office to make a payment.
Due to FERPA privacy regulations, we can not release the balance of your account to your parent and/or any other person unless you completed, signed and submitted a Release of Confidential Information form to Admissions and Records indicating certain information we can release to the person(s) you indicated on the form.

Can someone else pay my tuition bill?Anyone can pay for your tuition bill. All tuition bills are sent to the address of the student so if someone else is paying your tuition bill, it is your responsibility to get that information to the person responsible.

Can my bills be sent to my parents instead of my address?No, any school mailings are sent to the students mailing address on file with Aims. Currently students will only receive a paper bill at the point of registration if done in person, printed from the website or if the student has a remaining balance after the semester ends.
During the semester, students will receive e-bill notices via their Aims and personal email addresses that is on record with Admissions/Records. Your tuition rates are based on residency of the student and where all school mailings are sent to.

How can I get a copy of my class schedule and current bill?Your class schedule and current bill are available on the Aims website. A class schedule can also be acquired by going in person to Admissions and Records.

I have a "Tuition and Fee" hold on my account, who do I contact for further information?If you have a “Tuition and Fee” hold on your student account and you have paid your account in full, you can contact the Cashiers Office by email, phone or in person to inquire about the hold.
If you pay your balance in full on the website by credit card, generally all “Tuition and Fee” holds that pertain to that balance will be released in 24-48 business hours.

Can I register for classes if I have a "Tuition and Fee" hold on my account?No, you will not be able to register for classes. If you have a “Tuition and Fee” hold and you have an outstanding tuition balance, you will not be able to register for classes, get your grades, transcripts, and etc until the outstanding balance is paid in full.

What is the difference between "dropping" a class and "withdrawing" from a class?If you “Drop” a class, then your student tuition account will be credited the tuition and fees equal to the cost of the class and the class will be removed from our transcripts.
If you “withdraw” from a class, then you receive a “W” as a grade on your transcript for the class and you are held liable for the tuition and fees for that class. Please refer to our current catalog or schedule publication for further information on “dropping” or “withdrawing” from courses.

I need to complete an "Appeals for Tuition Adjustment", what is the process?Please contact a Cashiers Office to get further information, criteria and forms for completing an “Appeals for Tuition Adjustment”. Forms and guidelines can also be found online at http://www.aims.edu/student/cashier/appeals.htm. You will need to withdraw from the course in order for your completed appeals form to be considered. Tuition appeals will be accepted for semesters within 1 year of time of the semester being appealed.

I have moved recently, what do I need to do to change my address at Aims?Contact Admissions and Records for further information and procedures for updating your address at Aims Community College. It is advisable to change our address information with Aims Community College as soon as you know your new address so that it doesn’t delay information getting to you in a timely manner.

What does WUE tuition mean?Aims Community College participates in the Western Undergraduate Exchange Program (WUE) during this academic year. If you are eligible and approved for WUE tuition rates, you will pay reduced tuition rates equal to one and on-half times the normal out-of-district rates in place of the out-of-state rate.
