Where do I take the GED tests?The GED tests are offered at Aims Corporate Education Center. The Center is located at: Aims Community College, Corporate Education Building, 5590 W. 11th Street, Greeley, CO 80634. We also offer the GED exam on the Fort Lupton (303.857.4022 x4303) and Loveland Campuses (970.667.4611 x3312).

How much does the GED cost? The GED cost $85.00 and is due on the first day of testing. Retests are $20.00 per section.

What are the testing times and days?Testing is by appointment only (no walk-in testing is available). Call one of the following campuses to make an appointment:

What do I need to bring on the first day of GED testing?
- Valid Driver's License or Official State or Government ID
- $85.00 test fee
- A letter of permission from the Colorado Department of Education office in Denver if you are age 16.

Do you offer the GED test in Spanish?Yes, we do offer the GED in Spanish. However, if the potential GED candidate has minimal to no English skills, we do ask that they bring an interpreter with them.

What are passing scores for the GED?To receive a Colorado High School Equivalency Diploma, the GED candidate needs to score a total of 2,250 points with an average standard score of 450 points on each test. It should also be noted that an individual needs a minimum score of 410 on each test.

Can I complete the GED paperwork ahead of time?GED candidates can complete the GED Demographic Form online. To fill out the online form, please go to GED123.org

What will I be tested on when I take the GED test?You will be tested on the following five tests:
- Language Arts - Writing (120 minutes)
- Social Studies (70 minutes)
- Science (80 minutes)
- Language Arts - Reading (65 minutes)
- Mathematics (90 minutes)

How long does it take to get the results on a particular test?It takes about 24 hours to score the Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, Writing and Reading sections of the GED.

Can I find out the results of my tests over the phone?Yes, but only if you have an Access Code provided by the Corporate Education Center. If you do not have an Access Code, you must come to the Corporate Education Center and provide a Picture ID.

I am 16 years-old. Can I take the GED in the state of Colorado?If you wish to take the GED in the state of Colorado, you must apply for an age waiver. This involves completing an application that you can pick up at the Aims Corporate Education Center and attaching an original, signed letter from Aims that can be obtained from the Student Financial Assistance office. There also is a $5.00 processing fee for the application.

How do I go about requesting accommodations for taking the GED test?GED candidates may request accommodations due to specific learning disabilities and/or ADHD, as well as for physical and/or mental disabilities. The appropriate form can be obtained from the Aims Corporate Education Center.
