When do classes begin for regular college classes?
Application Deadlines: International students may apply for admission for the Fall, Spring, or Summer.

Admissions Applications for transfer students and co-enrolled students who are in the U.S. must be received by:
- April 1st for the Summer term
- July 1st for the Fall term
- December 1st for the Spring term

Do my documents need to be translated into English?
Yes. The translation must be professional, notarized and certified.

Where is Aims Community College located?
Aims Community College is located in Greeley;, which is 50 miles north of Denver (the capital of Colorado).

Why should I attend Aims Community College?
Aims provides students with small supportive environment where classes are smaller (average is 20 students per class) in which students can interact with their peers and their instructors and staff. A student can enroll in at Aims and obtain a two-year associate degree, and then transfer to a four-year college or university to complete a bachelor’s degree. Another option may be to enter the professional world after completing your Associate's of Applied Science degree. The cost of attendance is affordable.

Will my Aims Community College credit transfer to other colleges and universities?
Yes. Aims Community College has full regional accreditation through the North Central Association of the Higher Learning Commission. There are guaranteed transfer credit agreements with other Colorado Colleges and Universities, such as, University of Colorado, Colorado State University, Colorado School of Mines, University of Northern Colorado, and Denver University.

I don’t have a TOFEL or IELTS score. Can I still apply?
Yes. You will be admitted into the English as a Second Language or the Intensive English Program.

What classes are offered in the Intensive English Program?
The four (4) classes you will enroll in are Grammar, Reading, Writing, and Listening/Speaking.

How long will it take to get an I-20?
The application process can take approximately four (4) to six (6) months. To avoid delay, please plan ahead and provide all the required documents. Read the instructions carefully and write legibly.

Will you e-mail me about my application?
Yes, you will be notified once your application for admissions has been received. Once all the required documents are received and all is in order, a Letter of Acceptance and I-20 will be mailed to you. You will need to complete the I-20 Mailing form, found in the Welcome packet.

When do I need to apply for my student visa?
You will apply for your student visa once you have been accepted to Aims Community College and have received your Letter of Acceptance and I-20 form. Information on how to obtain a student visa can be found
online.

Can I arrive early before my classes begin?
Yes. You can arrive in Greeley 30 days prior to the beginning of the semester for which you were admitted.

I am already in the country and I want to register. What should I do?
You will need to complete the Admissions process for international students. Once you are conditionally admitted, you will take the Transfer-In form to the International Student Office. Your immigration record will be released by your current high school (once you graduate) or current college/university. You will be issued an I-20 from Aims Community College.

Can international students work on-campus?
International students on an F-1 student visa are allowed to work up to 20 hours per week in an on-campus job. However, many student employee positions are only available for 10-15 hours per week. Student employee positions are not guaranteed and students must apply for individual positions.

Can I live on campus?
Aims Community College does not offer housing. Students are responsible for locating housing off-campus.
