Do I need to have health care or patient care experience?No, previous experience is not required.

What is the selection process based upon?GPA in general education coursework.

How many graduates pass the certification examinations?1st time test takers have never scored below the national average and consistently rank well above.

Who can apply for the program and when can I apply?Anyone who has completed the required general education and prerequisite courses may apply.

When may I take RTE 101, Introduction to Radiology?RTE 101 is offered only in the spring and is by invitation only. Students must pass RTE 101 in order to be eligible for full acceptance. If granted full acceptance, students will start the RTE program in the fall of the same year they take RTE 101.

Can I take RTE 101 somewhere else?No. Students are required to take RTE 101 at Aims Community College.

Where are the clinical sites?Currently, RTE students do clinical rotations at Northern Colorado Medical Center in Greeley, Poudre Valley Hospital in Fort Collins (includes rotations at the Medical Center of the Rockies), McKee Medical Center in Loveland, and Longmont United Hospital in Longmont.

Do you have a waitlist?No. As of May of 2010, we moved to an application process.

Can I be enrolled part time while in the program?No. Once a student is granted full acceptance and begin taking classes, they are required to be full time.
