Ethnicity based on the new IPEDS definitions, using the data reported in the Fall 2010 SURDS file for those columns. Hispanic trumps all other race/ethnicity data, so there are Hispanics who also identified themselves as Asian or Native American, but for the purpose of this report, they show up only under Hispanic.

Full-time is defined as students taking 12 or more credit hours in the term being reported.

Receiving financial aid is defined as any student receiving any form of financial aid (including institutional grants, loans of any type, and/or workstudy).

Retention

Graduation rates are based on data used for the IPEDS Graduation Rate Survey. These figures reflect the Fall 2007 first-time, full-time degree-seeking cohort, showing the percent who completed a degree or certificate within three years.

Transfer rates are based on the same cohort as the Graduation Rate, and transfer information comes from a file submitted to the National Student Clearinghouse in June 2011.

Job Placement rates are based on a report generated by the Colorado Community College System. That report is derived from data collected by phone surveys conducted by Aims Community College in the early spring of the year following student graduation. These figures are ONLY for career and technical education programs--these surveys are not administered to students who graduated with a transfer (AA/AS/AGS) degree nor to students who did not complete a degree/certificate. The percentages shown are of those students who were reached and responded to the survey. These figures are a five-year average of the 2005-2009 graduating cohorts, with an average of 802 graduates per year in the cohort, and an average of 377 per year who were successfully surveyed. The employment rate includes both full-time and part-time employment, and also includes students who may also be continuing their education.
