Allied Health and Sciences Floor PlansOpened in September, 2007, the 64,000-square-foot Allied Health and Science Building houses most of the Allied Health programs as well as Science programs. In the building:Lower Floor: Emergency Medical Services. We have a “scene” classroom for our paramedics program so different emergency situations can be simulated through the use of props, actors, and simulation mannequins. There is also a room that houses a full-size mock-up of an ambulance. Main Floor: natural and biological science classrooms and labs. Chemistry Labs have flow-hoods for safety, chemical-grade sinks. Geology classroom has numerous rock and earth samples and anatomy classroom has scale models of human beings available for study. Upper Floor: Allied Health, Radiologic Technology, Surgical Technology, Nursing / Nurse Aide, and Medical Assistant programs. Nursing lab has top-of-the-line simulation mannequins which can be programmed in advance or in real time with symptoms and reactions to treatment. Radiology lab has three x-ray labs and a new digitizer machine which computerizes x-ray images instead of using film. Surgical Technology lab has three operation theaters and a scrub room. The Medical Assistant lab has several mock-up doctors’ exam rooms. Click on the map below to enlarge.
