Aims Community College's Career and Technical Education department is offering high school students the opportunity to come to campus and get hands-on experience in several career paths.

On Friday, April 17, it's ladies only in the Automotive Collision Technology and Fire Science programs. Then on Friday, April 24, all students are invited to learn about the Aims Graphic Design and Rich Media programs.

"This is a great opportunity for high school students to come over to the Aims campus and check out our cutting-edge facilities and meet with our instructors," said Lesli Bicknell, pre-collegiate advisor for Aims.

The programs run from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The college will provide transportation to and from District 6 high schools, along with the day's instruction, supplies and lunch.

These are some of the same classes high school students can take at Aims through the Career Academy, which allows students to receive both high school and college credits at no cost to the student.

Interested students should visit their high school counseling office to sign up for the day programs, as seats are limited.
