About Aims

At Aims, we are here for you

Dr. Marilynn LiddellBy every measure that counts, Aims Community College is one of the cornerstones of higher education in Northern Colorado. Thousands of students have started their college and professional careers with a degree from Aims.

We are here to work with students as they begin their adult lives. We are here for adults who want to change their lives for the better. Our commitment to students began the day the college opened its doors in 1967. Back then, a gallon of gas cost 33 cents, the first Boeing 737 took its maiden flight, and average annual income was $7,300.

Times have changed. The need to provide exceptional and affordable educational opportunities for our students has not. Aims is building on its proven abilities to help students find their ways and develop their skills.

Visit any one of our campuses and you will discover a welcoming and exciting learning environment. Whether you are interested in accounting, agriculture, automotive or aviation programs, you will find our instructors are passionate about their fields of study. The equipment we use in classrooms matches the newest and best equipment being used by companies in Northern Colorado. Times have changed, yet Aims Community College is continually improving so our students stay ahead of the learning curve.

We have been through difficult times recently, yet thanks to the efforts of our Trustees, faculty, and staff, Aims is investing in the future. We are building new classrooms and lab facilities on our Fort Lupton campus. We just completed a new Pedestrian Promenade and landscaping that makes our Greeley campus striking in appearance. In just the past few years Aims dedicated a new Automotive Center in Windsor and the Allied Health building on our Greeley campus.

Equally significant is that Aims has not had to increase tuition thanks to responsible financial stewardship. Our programs and services are among the best you will find anywhere. We do not pack our classrooms with sheer numbers in the name of efficiency. We use our classrooms as a place of discovery for individuals.

Times are changing. Today, Colorado is home to a little more than 5 million people. Several studies project our state's population to reach or exceed 9 million by 2050. This level of growth will generate economic activity and employment opportunities demanding a trained and available workforce. Northern Colorado will be a destination for people moving into our state.

Aims Community College itself is a destination for an amazing variety of students who have their eyes on the future. Whether they are enrolled in health care, oil and gas technology, construction site management or welding, our students are preparing themselves for challenges and changes at hand. Others are starting their college journey at Aims with plans to transfer. They do this because our courses are affordable, accredited and transferable. Not to mention Aims is convenient in terms of scheduling and being close to home. Aims wants to be your career-building cornerstone.

At Aims, we are with you every step of the way.
