Programs
- Right to Know page shows
policies related to Safety, Crime Stats, and Emergency Plan. Click
on “Security” tab on the left of this page to
find “Resources”. These include lighting
concerns, how to report crimes, safety escorts, key service,
lost and found, and sex offender registry links.
- Graphic “Mall Maps” posted at each entrance w/
emergency procedures and safety info
- Hazardous Material/Hazardous Waste State of Colorado permits
valid
- New Emergency Plan posted on line (66 page document)
- All Senior Management/Presidential Staff trained in NIMS
- Safety teams and Building Coordinators in each building identified
and active in training, forming evening and weekend teams
- Drill program active including monthly Drills both for evacuation
and reverse evacuation
- Training with surrounding Emergency Response agencies including
WCSO, K-9, GPD, UCFRA, Loveland Fire, Loveland PD, WCPS,
Ft Lupton Fire, Ft Lupton PD
- Syncing of Card Access system with Alarm system
- Improved CCTV access for multiple individuals-not monitored
at all times, Randomly monitored
- Threat and Violence Assessment Team active and busy
- New Emergency Back-up Communications Radio system in use-tested
monthly
- Ability to control building HVAC and door access remotely
- Telecom PA/Intercom into all classrooms, most offices, and
some corridors
- Digital phones with 911 panic button installed in all classrooms
on main campus
- Aims participated in Northern Colorado H5N1 Pandemic exercise,
Med Surge tabletop in spring ‘09
- Numerous Safety related classes offered-Suspicious Package,
Workplace Violence, Personal Safety, ID Theft, Robbery/Shoplifting,
Active Shooter, Stress in the Workplace, Fire Extinguisher
use
- Equipment installed in all buildings-N-95 masks, emergency
medical kits, AED’s
- Emergency Text Messaging System “Rave” in place,
tested once per semester. Last use had 87% of users
(10k) notified within the first 3 seconds
- CERT training and grant applied for, expected date to implement
is fall ‘09
