The agriculture industry impacts us daily – from drinking a glass of chocolate milk to putting ethanol (made from corn) in your car. While approximately 22 million people globally work in agriculture related fields, only about 10 percent of these are traditional farmers or ranchers and the growing opportunities for careers that support the farmers and ranchers are vast.
What makes up the other 90 percent of agriculture careers? That is where the opportunities are endless. Many times students want to be a part of agriculture but don’t know what careers are in the industry. By becoming an Ag student at Aims, students can explore opportunities for their professional careers.
Here are just a few career possibilities:
- Precision Agriculture Specialist
- Animal Nutritionist
- Farm Manager
- Agribusiness Marketing Manager
- Agriculture Educator
- Greenhouse Manager
