Colorado Department of Education

About

The Aims Education program provides lifelong learning opportunities to meet the needs of pre-service and in-service teachers, families, parents and students. We offer several programs, including:

Early Childhood Education – If you are interested in a career working with young children, consider the Early Childhood Education program. Earn your degree or choose the certificate option.

Elementary Education – As a Colorado community college, Aims has an articulation agreement that will give you the opportunity to transfer 60 credits of coursework from Aims to another teacher preparation program at a four-year college in the state. If you want to become an elementary teacher, consider this program.

Secondary Education – Would you love to teach middle or high school students? Complete your first two years of general education and content courses at Aims, then transfer to a four-year university and earn your bachelor’s degree.

Professional Development for Teachers – We offer a diverse array of professional development courses for teachers and other professionals. Class topics include English language learners, classroom management, leadership, problem-solving, cultural sensitivity, wellness and core knowledge enrichment.
