Gainful Employment Program Disclosures

EMT Internship

This course is designed to provide the EMT Intern with 90 hours of field internship.  This is an opportunity for the student to work in a clinical or pre-hospital setting as an EMT working under the supervision of a clinical/field preceptor.  Emphasis is placed on building basic assessment skills, patient contact hours, and knowledge that will be necessary to gain successful employment in the student's chosen area.

Students must be currently certified in CPR and as a Colorado EMT before they will be signed off to register for the class.

Supplies for the EMT Intern program can be purchased at the Aims Bookstore, medical stores, or various department/discount stores throughout the area.


  • Uniform (Navy slacks, white polo shirt, black shoes)
  • Aims issued EMT Internship ID tag
  • Stethoscope
  • Protective eyewear

Students must register for:

  • EMS 180 EMT Clinical Internship (2 credits)
