Emergency Medical Technician

EMS, MA and Phlebotomy students must have a current BLS for Healthcare Provider certification card from the American Heart Association (AHA) to enroll in ANY of the clinical courses/programs offered through the EMS-MA Department at Aims.  No other card will be accepted.

Note: Healthcare Provider cards must remain valid throughout the duration of the clinical course.  Failure to maintain valid BLS certification will result in your removal from ALL clinicals which may affect your grade.

Aims Community College offers CPR and First Aid at the professional level if you are in need.  The cost for a BLS for Healthcare Provider certification through the American Heart Association is $65.  Please visit the Aims CPR website for more information.

Students are to bring a copy of the above CPR card to the Administrative Assistant in the Allied Health Building, Room 102. The CPR requirement must be complete and documentation provided by the established due date each semester. Due dates are listed on the prerequisite due date page later in the orientation.
