Rad Tech Admissions Process
The Radiologic Technology Program at Aims Community College admits students based on an application process. In order to apply for provisional acceptance to the program, students must successfully complete all admission requirements as well as all prerequisite and general education coursework.
Once a student has successfully met all standards for the year in which they are applying, it is his/her responsibility to submit copies of the required documentation in person between the first and last working days of September 2011 for consideration to start the Spring 2012 RTE 101 cohort. Please know that submission of materials does not guarantee admittance into RTE 101 or the RTE Program.
Final Selection Criteria 2012 & 2013: In the event there are more eligible applicants than openings, the following criteria will be used to rank order applications:
- Waitlisted applicants according to date and time they were placed on the waitlist.
- New applicants according to their GPA on the Rad Tech general education classes using the highest grades achieved. In the event of a GPA tie, the date and time students submitted their complete application will be used.
Please see the Rad Tech Provisional Acceptance Application Materials Checklist for Spring 2012 for additional information. Remember, your application is for provisional acceptance only. Students who are provisionally accepted will be invited to take RTE 101 in the spring. You must pass RTE 101 in order to be fully admitted into the program for the following fall.
