Prerequisite General
Education Requirements
The current prerequisite general education requirements for the Nursing Program are classes that must be taken from a regionally accredited institution of higher education prior to applying to the Nursing Program. GPA must be a minimum 2.5 or better in the listed courses below AND all prerequisite general education coursework must be completed with a grade of “C” or better. Current Prerequisite General Education Coursework for Associates Degree in Nursing for Fall 2011:
*In the event an applicant has completed BIO 201, BIO 202, and/or Bio 216 without completing BIO 105 (or equivalent), the applicant may be considered for admission but will be REQUIRED to complete an additional approved four-credit hour science course before proceeding to the second year of the Nursing Program. Students are required to have a minimum of 16 approved science credits. **In the event the applicant has taken an approved three credit hour Pathophysiology course, an additional approved science course must be completed prior to progressing to the second year of the Nursing Program. No exceptions will be allowed.
