Chuck Fisher, M.A.
Chuck teaches composition and literature.  He is a graduate of University of Southern California and University of Northern Colorado and has taught at Aims since 1986.  He is a member of the Association for Core Texts and Courses (www.coretexts.org).  Contact Chuck Fisher at 339-6520 or chuck.fisher@aims.edu.

Holly Hartwick

Richard Hanks, Psy.D.
Richard grew up in Southern California and received his BA in Experimental Psychology from the University of California at Santa Barbara. He then came to Greeley for graduate school and earned a Masters and a Doctorate in counseling psychology from the University of Northern Colorado. 

Professionally he is a licensed psychologist and has worked in several agencies and in private practice. Richard has been a full-time faculty member at Aims since 2002 and he teaches many of the psychology classes offered at Aims.

Holly Hartwick, M.Ed., M.A.
Holly teaches composition, literature, and humanities. She has worked at Aims full-time since 1995, but she has been teaching for 27 years.  For additional information or permission to register in Honors ENG121, contact Holly Hartwick at 336-6426.

Tracey Trenam, Ph.D. 
Tracey teaches world history and Colorado history.  She is a graduate of Georgetown University and Columbia University, and taught Russian cultural history in New York City before coming to Aims in 2001.  A Fulbright Scholar in Poland, she was the Colorado E-Learning Consortium’s Educator of the year in 2008.  Contact Tracey Trenam at 339-6216.

Rob Umbaugh
Rob is the Associate Dean overseeing the Kiefer Library, Academic Resource Center, Tutoring, Supplemental Instruction, the Center for Professional Development, the Faculty Teaching and Learning Center, Assessment of Learning Outcomes, Learning Communities, and the Honors program. He is a graduate of Wartburg College and the University of Iowa, and has been working in higher education for 10 years.

He taught and designed curriculum for First Year Experience courses, and ran Learning Communities programs before coming to Aims in 2010. Contact Rob Umbaugh at 339-6237.


Tracey Trenam

Shawna Washam, Ph.D.
Shawna earned a Ph.D. in psychology from Colorado State University in 1992 and is particularly interested in cognitive neuropsychology, adult learners, leadership development, and environmental psychology. She teaches a variety of classes including General Psychology, Intro to Neuropsychology, Human Growth and Development, Adjustment, Abnormal, and Child Development, and is in the process of developing Psychology of Leadership and Environmental Psychology courses for Aims. Shawna serves on the Honors Program Committee and is the faculty advisor for Phi Theta Kappa.

She enjoys yoga and tae kwon do, reading mysteries, quilting, knitting and crocheting, beading, camping, and traveling when she can. She and her husband have two children and one Jack Russell.
