Leadership Experience
Documentation and Analysis
Directions: Document and analyze this leadership experience for inclusion
in your portfolio by writing a 300-500 word essay addressing the following
three matters. Attach supporting documentation of your experience (e.g.,
flyer, handouts, photos, etc.) to your essay.
- Description of approved Aims Community College leadership
activity (include date(s) and times, where the activity took
place, who facilitated it, and a general overview of the experience). In
your narrative, describe specific leadership skills you practiced,
such as team building, fund raising, supervising, mentoring,
goal-setting, problem-solving, working through conflict, etc. Note: in
addition to the posted on-campus activities each term, some
activity off-campus (e.g., with non-profits and/or church-related
endeavors) may qualify, too—check with your honors advisor).

in this experience to further your academic/career journey
and civic engagement?
- What impact has this experience had on your philosophy of
