The advanced manufacturing sector has hit its stride, and jobs are coming back to the U.S. Manufacturers contributed $2.09 trillion to the economy, increasing steadily from $1.73 trillion in 2009. In addition, high-tech job growth has outpaced the rest of the private sector since 2009, accounting for 1 out of every 6 private-sector jobs. This trend is expected to continue for the next decade. There is now and there will continue to be a high demand for jobs in this growth industry. For example, there are 120,000 manufacturing jobs currently available in Colorado alone.
