There are no prerequisites for any of the History Courses offered at Aims. However, all history classes require the reading of complex textbooks and primary sources (eyewitness accounts), sometimes in old fashioned language or translations from foreign languages. History courses also have substantial writing assignments involving at least one long paper which must be researched and finished as homework.
For this reason, students are advised to have completed ENG121 and ENG122, or to have received Accuplacer scores of 90 or better in both REA and ENG.
If you have questions about this requirement, you should contact your advisor or Tracey Trenam, Chair of Social Sciences: (970) 339-6216
