Network Analyst Certificate

The network curriculum at Aims is comprised of four classes covering the key areas and topics of computer inter-connectivity. The students will be exposed to the entire arena of networking concepts from basic terminology, specifications, and installation/configuration to upgrading, maintenance and troubleshooting.

CIS 124 Intro to Operating Systems Introduces the student to Windows and command line topics. 3 Can be taken in conjunction with CSC116 and CIS118 Syllabus
CSC 116 Logic and Program Design This is the entry level programming class. The student is introduced to computer program design using concepts of structured programming and logic. 3 Can be taken in conjunction with CIS124 and CIS118 Syllabus
CIS 267 Management of Information Systems Introduces the concepts and techniques of managing computer-based information resources. 3 There are no prerequisites for this course. Syllabus
CNG 101 Intro to Networking This course is designed to help students learn networking technology concepts, it offers a comprehensive review of the basics of building, configuring and maintaining networks. 3 There are no prerequisites for this course. Syllabus
CNG 102 Local Area Networks This course will introduce the student to local area networking through a series of simulations and case projects. 3 CNG101 Syllabus
CNG 109 Computer Network Lab Offers the student complete hands on practice and discovery with the software and hardware found in most network connectivity situations today. 3 CNG101 Syllabus
CNG 131 Network Security Fundamentals Delivers a comprehensive overview of network security, including general security concepts. Communication Security is studied, including remote access, email, the Web, directory and file transfer, and wireless data. Common network attacks are introduced. 3 CNG101 Syllabus
