Visual Basic Programming Certificate

The VB Programming curriculum at Aims is comprised of two classes covering the key areas and topics of creating Windows based programs and applications. The students will be exposed to basic graphical program logic and design, and advanced concepts covering such areas as data arrays, database access, sequential files, and ASP web applications.

CIS 124 Intro to Operating Systems Introduces the student to Windows and command line topics. 3 Can be taken in conjunction with CSC116 and CIS118 Syllabus
CSC 116 Logic and Program Design This is the entry level programming class. The student is introduced to computer program design using concepts of structured programming and logic. 3 Can be taken in conjunction with CIS124 and CIS118 Syllabus
CSC 150 Visual Basic Programming This is an introduction to programming and application development for the Microsoft Visual Basic.NET environment. The student will write basic Windows type applications. 3 CSC116 Syllabus
CSC 151 Advanced Visual Basic Programming This course will build on the skills developed in CSC-150. The focus will be on more involved applications, work with advanced controls, and deal with additional advanced topics. 3 CSC116, CSC150 Syllabus
