Attend a Get Started Session
Get Started sessions are highly recommended for new students who've never been to Aims and are seeking a degree or certificate or are planning on taking a few courses and transferring.

Information will be provided on:

  • Aims' programs
  • Enrollment steps
  • Using the catalog and schedule
  • Financial aid
  • Other services and resources

Get Started Session Options

 

Consider Transferring Previous College Coursework to Aims

  • Contact all previously attended institutions and request your Official transcript be sent to Aims. Unofficial and opened Official transcripts will not be evaluated.
  • Complete a Transfer Credit Evaluation Request form to let us know what's coming. We'll do the rest!
    • Or, login to your student account and follow these steps to submit the form electronically:
      1. Click on the "Student Tab"
      2. Under "Academic Resources," click on "Online Transfer Credit Evaluation Request"
      3. Fill out the request and click "Submit"

Meet the Assessment Requirements
What tests/courses/scores do you need to have?

  • ACT scores (Reading 17, Sentence Skills 18, Math 19), or
  • SAT scores (Verbal 430, Math 460), or
  • Successful completion of college-level math and English courses, or
  • Taking the Accuplacer computer placement test

Register for Classes - Register Early!

  • Fall & Summer registration for new students started April 12, 2010

Complete the Payment Process

  • By the First Payment Deadline ONE of the following needs to be done or all classes will be dropped:
    • Pay in full
    • Sign up for e-Cashier Payment Plan
    • Be AWARDED Financial Aid
    • Submit 3rd party paperwork to the Cashier's office
  • After the First Payment Deadline ONE of the above needs to be done same day of registration or all classes will be dropped

Purchase your Textbooks and Supplies
Books and supplies can be purchased on-campus or online

  • Visit the Aims' bookstore in the College Center for new and used books
  • Textbooks can be ordered online at www.efollett.com

Important note to discuss with your parents/family

  • Once you enroll in college, regardless of your age, all rights belong to you. Unlike your high school experience, your parents and others have no inherent rights to access your educational records. 
  • If you would like us to be able to share your student records with your parent, you will need to complete a Release of Confidential Information form.
