Aims hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony in September 2013 for a $9 million, 27,000 square foot, passive-solar facility located at the Fort Lupton location. The Platte Building serves students studying agriculture. Individuals who have an interest in certificates and degrees that focus on our expanding industries may pursue degrees such as Agriculture Business and Agriculture Production through Aims Community College.
In addition to classrooms, this impressive structure features several fully-equipped welding and chemistry labs. It also includes two spacious shops that are specifically designed with agriculture in mind.
Renovation at the existing Prairie Building was also completed in time for students beginning in Fall 2013. Together, these two facilities provide significant work-force development for members of south Weld County and beyond.
