Request a Book from Another Library

If a search of the Library Catalog for a book, video, sound recording, or a periodical containing the article you are seeking reveals that the Library does not have the item, then we can obtain it for you through Interlibrary Loan (ILL). Depending on where we are able to borrow the material from, materials may take anywhere from 48 hours to two weeks to six weeks to arrive.

Kiefer Library makes every effort to find materials for which there are no charges to you, however, there may be charges established by the lending library. Kiefer Library passes these charges on to the users. Please inform the library (when making an ILL request) as to whether or not you are willing to to pay any costs associated with your request.

There are three ways you can request materials through interlibrary loan:

  1. Come into the library and complete a request form for either a book, video, film, or sound recording or complete a request form for an article from a periodical.

  2. Call the library and place your request by phone: 970-339-6227 or 800-301-5388 ext. 6227.

  3. Complete an online request form by clicking on one of the following links:

Article Request (from a journal, magazine, newspaper, etc.): Place Request

Book or Multimedia Request: Place Request

You will be contacted by phone once your interlibrary loan material arrives.
