Downloading
Step One: Your instructor may place files for you to download in several places in your course. Files that you need to download are often located in the assignment tool or in Content Modules. In the example below, an assigment related file is located in an assignment.

Step Two: To begin the download process, click on the filename. This opens the View Files window. Click inside the radio button next to the filename. Then click the download button.

Step Three: The File Download window opens. You can click the Open button to view the file or the Save button to download and save it to your own computer. If you need to edit the file, for example, fill in the blanks or make changes to the file, you must Save the file.

Step Four: Click the Save button. The Save As window opens and displays the file manager of your own computer. Notice that the file name is automatically placed in the File name box.

Make sure you pay attention to where the file is being saved on your computer. You can change the file location if you choose to do so. Some students create a new folder to hold all of their files for their online course. In this case, the file will be saved to the Desktop.

Step Five: When you are ready to save your file on your own computer, click Save.

Step Six: The Download Complete window opens. This tells you that your file has been successfully downloaded and saved to your computer. Click on the Open button to access the file.
