Academic Pathways



Academic Pathways was developed to help students achieve their learning goals and objectives through effective program options and services, and to develop partnerships that support Aims students and the citizens of Colorado.

Academic Pathways meets the mission, purposes and values of Aims by extending college into high schools and by enhancing the transition and access to postsecondary education for students who have been historically underserved and underrepresented in higher education:

  1. Provide high school students the opportunity to transfer to two and four-year institutions by providing concurrent courses on Aims campuses and in high school classrooms with “guarantee transfer” of credits earned;
  2. Provide education to students typically underserved in postsecondary education by instituting conduits for them to reach competency levels for entrance into college;
  3. Offer developmental courses, workshops and assessments for those needing to enhance their skills, including business and industry, throughout the Aims service area, and by;
  4. Supporting student learning by engaging in the variety of opportunities and innovations on campus and within communities of Aims’ service area.
