Graduation requirements for each degree and certificate program are outlined in the Degree and Certificate sections of the Aims catalog. The catalog that is current at the time you begin a program will be used for your graduation requirements. If you do not maintain continuous enrollment (if you have a break in enrollment of three semesters or longer), you must use the requirements listed in the new catalogin effect at the time you return.
Be sure to submit an Application for Graduation to ensure that your degree or certificate is officially recognized and recorded on your Aims transcript. If you need to transfer credits from another school, please begin the transfer credit evaluation process no later than 30 business days prior to the end of the semester you plan to graduate.
Submit graduation applications to the Admissions, Registration and Records office on the Greeley Campus by the priority deadline (see below for deadlines). After you submit your application, you will receive a graduation status report in your myAims email account. This report will list all completed, in-progress and outstanding requirements.
If you miss the priority deadline you may not receive a graduation status report. In that case, it is a good idea to meet with your academic advisor to ensure you’re on track for graduation.
Print out a Graduation Application and submit it to the Admissions, Registration and Records office, or you can login to your myAims account and follow these steps to submit the form electronically:
1. Click on the Student tab.
2. Look under Graduation and click on Graduation Application.
3. Fill out the request and click Submit.
One Commencement ceremony each year is held at the end of spring semester. Aims officially graduates students at the end of each semester (fall, spring and summer). However, students who graduate in any of the three terms are invited to participate in the ceremony in the spring.
