First Term Academic Probation

First-term academic probation occurs when a certificate or degree-seeking student’s cumulative GPA falls below a 2.0 for the first time during any term. The cumulative GPA is computed using all classes numbered 100 level or above. Students on first-term academic probation must view the online academic probation workshop and submit a verification form before registering for classes.

Online Academic Probation Workshop:

Students can view the online workshop from a link on the Students Rights and Responsibilities section of the Student tab of your myAims account. After viewing the workshop, students must submit the online verification form found in the same place as the link to the workshop.
