The HOBETAbout the HOBET:The Health Occupations Basic Entrance Test (HOBET) is a diagnostic test that we administer to individuals who are interested in our paramedic program. The purpose of the HOBET is to help assist the paramedic program in evaluating your academic, test taking and social skills. The HOBET is a computerized test and takes approximately 2 ½ hours to complete. Please note that this is a timed test. You are allowed a certain amount of minutes per subtest. If you exceed the time limit, the computer will immediately advance you to the next section. The HOBET contains 7 subtests, including the following:
