Fire Emergency Evacuation Procedures for: Westview

The Westview building is equipped with audible fire alarms and has an automated sprinkler system. When the alarm is activated, either by false alarm, test, or actual fire, all building occupants must evacuate the building. The lower level of the building is primarily lab and classroom space.

The upper level has Behavior, Social, Economic Sciences; Communication, Humanities, Business; the Vice Presidents office and classroom space. Designated personnel from each area will be responsible for insuring their area is evacuated. Individuals with a mobility impairment needing assistance should go to the SE corner as an area of safe haven for rescue assistance. A telephone is located at the vestibule for assistance. Under no circumstance is any person allowed to reenter the building until the building has been declared safe for occupancy.
