Timeline for Receiving Services
Some accommodations require a substantial amount of preparation
time. Once the student is found eligible to utilize an accommodation
or service, he/she is responsible for meeting prescribed deadline
dates as indicated in DAC Policies and/or the DAC Academic Year
Calendar. Students who submit their requests for accommodation
on or before established deadline dates are ensured that they will
receive those accommodations in a timely manner. Below are examples
of accommodations and timelines for which students needs to plan.
Request for interpreter services:
Requests should be received by DAC 4-6 weeks in advance of the
quarter start date.
Request for audio textbooks:
Requests should be received by DAC 6-8 weeks in advance of the
quarter start date.
Request for materials in Braille:
Requests should be received by DAC 6-8 weeks in advance of the
quarter start date.
Request for enlarged materials:
Requests should be received by DAC 4-6 weeks in advance of the
quarter start date.

Students eligible for the accommodations listed above will have access
to early registration so that they may meet DAC deadlines. To learn
